Re: cold/ first start for the day and fuse issues
I have the exact same issue, and so far no improvements has helped - i'm guessing it's just the nature of the bike. But now i've run into a new problem. My bike only seems to run on 3 cylinders. And worst part is, i tried changing the plugs, rebuilt the carbs, adjusted the carbs etc. and that didn't...

Re: Clubman handlebars & throttle cable
I did it the other way around, switched from a clubman to a standard handlebar - worked fine with the same cables.

Re: Tachometer wont go below 2000 RPM suddenly
Found the error, and feel kinda dumb. It was the tiny screw beneath the glass, that had slowly been popping out and was blocking the needle. Disassembled the tachometer, tightened the screw and now all is good again.

Re: Help removing cylinder head pls
Mine did the same, I just keept wiggling and pulling until it came off. Don't use any form of lever, you really don't want to scratch that surface.

Re: Tachometer wont go below 2000 RPM suddenly
It's just the tachometer, i can put bike idle so low it dies, but tacho still shows 2000 - works fine above 2000 though.
I'll try some slight disassembly and lubing when i get home - thanks!

Tachometer wont go below 2000 RPM suddenly *FIXED*
Anyone in here experienced that? Suddenly during my drive yesterday (and still now) my tachometer wont go below 2000rpm +/-. But as soon as i rev past 2000, it works fine. My one blinker lamp also busted that same day, but i doubt they have any connection..

Bogging when cold
Hey everyone, I have a CB 650 Z, which is currently running with a 4-1 exhaust and everything else stock. I noticed when i was fixing it up during the winter that the previous owner had put ducttape across half of the intake, i had no clue why so i removed it. Now when i start up the bike, i can't r...

Re: CDI SPARK UNIT
Do you need to clean out the old gunk before refilling it? My honda just did this and the backlight failed, fusebox was melted.. This goo in the CDI box is extremely sticky.

Re: My bike makes terrible hammering sound when idling
It mostly does, yes. Sometimes i can still detect a hammeringsound (atleast i think so) but it's way less prominant than when idling. It's only real bad like this when it goes below 1200rpm or so. I tried adjusting the tensioner, but it does not seem to do anything good or bad. I recently had it ope...

My bike makes terrible hammering sound when idling

Head gasket replacement
Hi, I have a rc03 which has a small leak around the head gasket. I want to replace it but I've been told consecutively that i should refrain from doing that as i am not a mechanic. I do however feel that it is a necessity. I've seen a guy on youtube remove the head on a 81 custom with the engine sti...
