Is the 82-83 cb750sc stator and regulator compatible with my 82 cb650sc?

It looks like the bolt holes are different distance than mine for the regulator but I can deal ...

How are my stator and rectifier?

https://youtu.be/gcc1S48y2zo My rotor is brand new. Battery isn't charging. Voltage is at 12v at 5k rpms. This regulator test is the most complicated electrical test I've ever done. I'm not sure my Clymer manual is correct with it's instructions Below are the key points in the vid otherwise the read...

Re: What happened here??

Hi JJ, a picture says a thousand words .............. George, thanks. I could sworn I inserted it. Anyway, never mind. I fixed it. Somehow the little index shaft in the back of the ignition advance part fell out and got shoved too far into the crankshaft. Yeah must have been a leprechaun or ...

What happened here??

Never mind the advance shaft I broke the tip off and tapped a hole in the center of to use a screw with... But that rod back there that's supposed to hold the ignition advance unit in place. How did it get pressed in there? I don't recall doing that. I suppose I must have torqued it down on there? B...

Re: CB650SC is the speedo cable removable from the outer sheath

Any genius tips on getting that clip bent back to original shape to hold the cable there? Apparently I bent it just a little bit too much to hold it securely. Not looking forward to removing the wheel. Otherwise I may just use a "gear tie" or something to hold it there.

Re: CB650SC is the speedo cable removable from the outer sheath

Hi JJ, the inner cable should come out, it may be held in by hardened grease or muck. Can you not use your new inner cable to push the old broken one out? Hey George. I wasn't able to budge it with a screw driver I'm about to get it in a vice and line up a bevy of tools including a drill. I'll get ...

CB650SC is the speedo cable removable from the outer sheath

I can't push it out(or pull from opposite end since the other end broke). I want to use the sheath cuz it fits whereas the cable I bought, specifically for cb650sc, so I guess they mixed it up or something, doesn't fit but I can take the cable out and use it if I can get it in the original sheath/ou...

Re: Using rear axle to remove rotor. What's the trick?

The basic functionality of the puller is torquing in the bolt to pull the rotor of that way. Sometimes it just works that way, but you must not overtorque the thread. Proceeding is that you first torque in the bolt/axle to a still acceptable torque. If the rotor does not move, then hit the bolt at ...

Using rear axle to remove rotor. What's the trick?

It's really stuck on there. I'm hitting it with a big rubber mallet but I'm afraid I'll bend the axle. I've read about you guys using this method and saw a video even but didn't see/read of anyone having as much difficulty. So I just keep banging away till it cracks? Should I try not to hit it too h...

Why does my light switch have 3 positions?

The middle one does nothing. Is it supposed to be 'off'? I'd like it to be. If not, anyone ever wire it to be off? Off quick glance it looks like you'd run a couple wires from the ignition over to the left handlebar to the switch then maybe I do some soldering? Or just already-made handlebar fitted ...
