Cylinders 3 and 4 are not firing.
1982 cb650 -This is driving me crazy. The bike ran good several weeks ago. The number 3 cylinder is not firing. NOW.... both 3 and 4 are not firing. I'm getting spark to both plugs, there is fuel in both carburetor bowls. I would look to the coil if it was either 1 and 4, or 2 and 3, but 3 and 4 ???...

Re: neutral switch stays on...
I think you are right!. I removed the side cover and didn't see the neutral switch, only the chain sprocket. I wasn't about to go any further. Just for grins I checked that all wires were clear and the wire connections were tight. I turned on the ignition and put it in gear and the light went out. G...

neutral switch stays on...
1982 CB 650. Suddenly my neutral switch is always on. When the bike is in neutral the light is bright, when I put the bike in gear it dims a bit. The bike will start in gear, out of gear, clutch in, or out. It all started last week when I disengaged the clutch, put it in gear and it lunged forward w...

Re: fuel vacuum valve
Thank you. I by-passed the valve and it seems to run fine. I'd like to replace the valve since I know I will forget to turn off the petcock at some point. Any leads as to where I can find one? Thanks again.

fuel vacuum valve
1982 cb650. My fuel vacuum valve is not part of the petcock valve, its mounted on Carb #4 (stock). I can find a replacement for the valve to allow fuel to flow. I've searched everywhere for a replacement with no success. Will a petcock valve with the vacuum valve build in, fit on my CB 650, or can I...

replacing front wheel
1982 cb650c-----having trouble finding a clean front 19 inch rim/wheel. Will a 19inch wheel from a 350cb work if I get the right bearings spacers etc? Any suggestions on where I can find a refurbished front wheel?

Re: 1982 CB650SC Wiring
I'm not a wiring expert, so I opened the headlight can on my 1982 cb650 (totally stock barn find), and the 2 green, 1 black and 1 brown wire(s) are not connected to anything....Everything works on the bike, so I'll assume the other posts are correct. good luck.

Re: The easy way to get carbs back on.
1982 CB 650C....Your a genius! 2 hours fighting these carbs. Just wouldn't go! Read your article and followed your advise, they were on in 15 minutes, popped right into place. Couldn't find any release for the air box to get more wiggle room. But a little silicone and the ratchet tie and it was done...
