Re: Clutch slipping... or?

Took the clutch appart and discovered the punch mark wasnt aligned up correctly with the dot underneath, causing the pressure plate not to fully engage.
Thanks for the input! Clutch is now working :-)

Re: 1st gear only

So my bike couldnt really shift into gear, i thought it could go into 1st but i was wrong.

I cleaned the clutch plates and allowed me to go to 1st, N and 2nd, when im turning the wheel a bit all the other gears work also, i guess this is not a uncommon issue.

Re: The easy way to get carbs back on.

Mine was totally stuck on, i used a hairdryer to soften the rubber and the ratchet to pull them off, same when i wanted them on, applying the heat did the trick for me, it was quite cold in my basement so about 5 minutes of heating and it went straight on.

Re: CBX 650 E parts?

I presume you have already given the leaking float bowls a good sharp tap with a screwdriver handle to shock a sticky float valve loose and into position? Thanks for your inputs aswell! Will try that, one of the needles is stuck so the spring doesnt work, do you think that can cause this problem?(i...

Re: 1st gear only

Totally agree. I will come back if i find a solution. Right now my bike havent been on the road for a unknown number of years, its on the centerstand i cant change the gears, as i read it might be easier if the bike is rolling. Else i will try to dismandle and clean or change the clutch and slave cl...
