Re: 1979 CB650; well, mostly
Volker, When you mention tube diameter and frame design versus the weight of the bike it brings to my mind the average Harley frame. Those bikes weigh over 800 lb and somehow are supported by frames that are similar to the CB650. Maybe they have thicker tubing. I wonder if there is anybody in here t...

Re: 79 cb650 carb jetting question
Hey guys. Great information. I realize this topic is untouched for quite some time now but I feel like I me to respond anyways. I have looked on cafe racers United to use that rejetting tool but cannot find it. I have a 1979 CB650 with 4 into 1 header and 2 and 1/2 inch straight through Muffler. I t...

Re: Pod filters
Hello. I understand this topic is sanctioned at this point, but I have an idea that may be useful. I'm still trying to dial in my setup, but theoretically there is still air in the airbox as well as much more volume capability. 1979 CB650; well, mostly
Hi everybody. I am new to the forum but definitely not new to motorcycles. I bought this 1979 CB650 two and a half years ago and have been working on it little by little ever since. Front suspension has been borrowed from a mid 90s ZX7 and the rear suspension is a mix of CBR F3 and 636 Ninja so I co...

Re: 1981 Honda CB650 Custom Piston Kit
If you speak to the guys at Arias pistons in California, they will be able to help you. I sent them one of my pistons' a few years to give them something to copy, so they can hook you up with some Pistons for around $650 American. I had them make me a set for a 61 mm bore, but they may be able to ch...
