Any performance CB650SC builds?
Searching has been ineffective but I’m curious if anybody has built up a 83-85 650 Nighthawk. I got two of them for a song, one had a snapped rod, busted up both cases, really uglied up the crank, so I’m parting that one out, but after looking at the design from the inside it seems like the perfect ...

Re: CB650SC Exhaust pulses Q?
Another oddity I just noticed... most other bikes I’ve looked up (CB750, GSXR) run 1,2,4,3 firing order. Not that it really effects my project, just curious why they’d defy convention and make the CB650 different than the 750... and to relate this back to my project, most 4,2,1 (tri-y aftermarket ex...

Re: CB650SC Exhaust pulses Q?
Attached a crappy scribble of the pipes I’d like to build. Without getting too crazy and busting out some CAD work, this is roughly what I mean to do. So with every 2 revolutions of the crank, you’ll get 2 exhaust pulses close together on each respective muffler, and the head pipes for cylinder 2 an...

CB650SC Exhaust pulses Q?
So I’ve got a 1985 CB650SC that I am working on getting back on the road, previous owner very roughly chopped the exhaust off at the bottom of the header pipes, just after they turn back under the bike, and I need SOME FORM of muffler(s) to not go completely crazy. My question is sort of regarding t...

Re: Another Carb Problem
Thanks for the input Volker! It's greatly appreciated. What do you mean by the choke working? Do you mean the cable moving freely or whether or not it manages to do any good? Because the cable is perfectly fine... lol. I will check to make sure the pilots are all at the desired height, as well as th...

Another Carb Problem
Bike is a 1980. Ran ok, but not great, with choke all the way out when first purchased and after a thorough carb cleaning. Then sat a year, garaged. Put in new batt, cleaned carbs again, then tried to start chopping, cut off mufflers and made custom dual 2.25" turnouts, and put on pod filters. ...
