I also remembered doing a Spark plug mod mentioned on another site...which of course I can't find now...basically ground the metal tips to points...Needless to sa...

Trying to save the 82 650sc

Re: Only starts in neutral

Update time.... Ok I finally was able to sneak some time out in the shop to disassemble the lever, perch, and switch assembly. cb650 you had me nervous that they had swapped perches on me. This problem has been a year long and if they had the parts were now long gone. Luckily this was not the case. ...

Only starts in neutral

82' cb650sc My wife dropped it and broke the clutch lever, otherwise the bike was fine. Took the bike into a shop here in town. When we got the bike back, with a new Universal lever, it would only start in neutral. When I asked the shop about it they said with that after-market lever that was the on...

Re: Chris

Thank you for mentioning the chain... I just adjusted my chain, lubricated it and took it for a ride, I came home only to find what looked like my shifter seal leaking all over my heat shield. So I came here planning on having to do a lot of dirty work to fix it only to find it was just the chain lu...

Re: is it possible to lower the height

My wife suffers the same affliction, we bought her boots with a little more sole. I would prefer a better solution. curious as to the modifications that were mentioned here.
