I have a comstar front wheel with dual disc, forks that will accomodate two calipers, both from an 83 650 Nighthawk. No calipers, tho. Can you use them?

WANTED: CB650 Nighthawk BLUE Touch-up paint

Anybody got a line on that stuff? A 12-oz. can would be more than I need, I might even get by with one 4-oz. can.

Gettin' Serious About Selling These early 80's CB650 Parts

Okay, time for me to get serious about parting out this bike- I need some cash for the Bobber project, which is supposed to pay for it's self- so buy some of this stuff, save your self some real money, and help me get my project on the road! Pics available of most all of this stuff... Prices are typ...

Looks like I do have the sliding piston/ variable venturi carbs- they have a alum. pistion that protrudes into the carb throat, I can push it up with my finger. "V5" is cast in the side of the carb, right above the flage that the float bowl bolts onto. The caps on the carbs are aluminum (o...

Re: Two CB650's Now In My Fleet

Welcome here! :D The black engine will require the CV carbs or a silver cylinder head from an earlier model if you want to have piston carbs urgently (intakes spacing are different). I join Phils request for pictures of your unconventional project bikes. Well, after removing lots of parts from the ...

...Let me also say that I am a bit surprised about your attitude. If you start a project from a basis like that you should be prepared that everything is to be done and be happy about any little thing that works without further work. If you just put together everything that is not explicitly defect...

Parts From 81 CB650 and 80 CM400

Need to sell some parts to finance the bobber project. Some of what I have Frame $20 swing arm $10 or free with frame wheels- front and rear, wires, a little rust but rehab-able $40 for both. Silver motor, needs a rebuild but complete except for side covers, clutch cover and basket assembly, electri...

Another Topic About My Bobber Project- REVISED 3:18PM

See revision in bold, below. Well, just learned from Volker_P that the carbs on the black motor are different from the ones on the silver- he posted to my other thread: Welcome here! :D The black engine will require the CV carbs or a silver cylinder head from an earlier model if you want to have pis...

Compression Test- 120, 120, 120, 90- Good Enough?

Just did a compression test on the motor in the bobber project. Compression is, in PSI and from left to right, 120, 120, 120 and 90 . Now, if I were buying a bike or car and it's compression was that, I'd either pass or expect some serious consessions from the seller, but this bike was a freebie. I ...

Two CB650's Now In My Fleet

One is 1981 mofel, complete but neglected- wire wheels, somewhat squared off tank, seat or tank is not original, they conflict so that seat bolt holes near the rear do not line up, about an inch off. Don't know if it would run, have not done any diagnosis to it yet. Other one is an abandoned bobber/...
