Hey everyone, Just a quick update: got this bike home and have started working on it. The bad: no brake lever, master cylinder, or reservoir, front caliper sized pretty solidly. Throttle and clutch cables pretty stiff, needs lubing. Chain and sprockets in pretty rough shape, oil pan bolt is stripped...

My CB650C has the sealant applied such that the valve cover gaskets are stuck to the valve covers, whereas this one the gaskets we...

I gave up on trying ...

Differences in fork tube diameter of different years
Hey everyone, One of the fork seals on my 81 CB650C leaks pretty good. Got a quote from the Honda dealer at around $180 US to fix the seals last year. These are the air/oil forks which, to my knowledge, no one on either this forum or sohc4.us has sucessfully rebuilt themselves without other tools. I...

Yeah, really setup for touring. The fairing even has speakers in it! No stereo though. Are the stereos usually setup to have they're own battery hooked up to the alternator? Or does it just run off the bikes battery? With the combination of wind, motor and full face helment, I think that you'd have ...

Thanks for the reply Ibsen. Will cranking the engine over with the valve covers off send oil flying? We never started the engine, just turned it over for a second with the engine kill switch off. The seller wasn't mechanically inclined and hasn't touched the bike, so I would say that nothing has bee...
