Re: Mufflers?

If you are asking about how they would look on the bike. You would be a lot closer to the appearance of the original 4 into 2 exhaust.

Re: What's the deal with 650's?!

The wider scope isn't very wide. The sohc 660 was only available for 4 years. Of that only the 79 model had a frame that could be made into a cafe with relative ease. The restyling oi the bike in 80 included changes to the frame that make a cafe build more difficult. People tend to shy away from tha...

Re: 1980 CB650 carbs - Connecting rod rubber pieces

Those o-rings not critical. They serve only as a dust seal for the rocker arm shaft. To determine a correct replacement o-ring. Measure the shaft outside diameter. This determines o-ring size Measure the opening inside diameter. Subtract shaft OD from opening ID. Then divide by 2. This give the o-ri...

If you are still looking. I have the mounting racks for the CM400. Not sure where they are hidden at the moment though. I might be talked into letting go of the green set. Which I have the missing top for now. For the right price! PM me an offer, and remember hard to find = Not Cheap! Green hondalin...

I haven't been on the board for over a year, The format has changed, and likely killed the links.

That would be the later 77-78 750K tank. It will require a small bit of trimming on the side covers to fit.

Re: Oil light stays on.

It is an oil pressure switch. The wiring is part of the connector plug for the alternator. Make sure that plug is clean, and tight, and the screw on top of the switch is tight.

Re: New to the forum so i guess i'll post my Brat

Wow, Mighost, that's exciting! This would work for replacing the wheels of a '81 z model? Thanks! The interchange will only work for a single disc model. If the Z is a dual disc this will not work. The only dual disc front hub/rotor/caliper combination that I am aware of that will work is a complet...

Re: New member, New bike

Those monkey bars are a telltale sign that the front end is not stock to the bike. The 82 nighthawk used a strange post style bar that inserted down through the top clamp. It is likely that the triple tree is raked to give it a chopper look. Turning the top clamp over will not work. Post some close ...

I'd love to spoke mine up but the only solution i can find is a chap called Jerry who makes awesome custom spoke plates. Was this a Jerry Job? Thanks man, ride safe! PM sent

The frame can be sent by Greyhound easily. The reciever just has to go to the greyhound terminal to pick it up.

Re: Parting Out: Honda CB650

I definitely do not want the leading axle fork! I'd definitely be interested in a standard fork as well...thank you! The 77-78 CB750F had the dual disc comstar (silver) with the standard forks. Another item to note about the lead axle forks. The c-c spacing of the 81 CB650C, and 82 CB650SC was incr...
