Spring is here guys! So far no one has chimed in on the 4-prong with notes other than klougnot. Lou has multiple examples of the 4-prong on a CB but no one is here on the forum. Pinhead is the only one here that has a running system and a video but is using the 7-prong module with alternate wiring....

could you possibly post some additional different wiring diagrams.... there's only 5 or 6 in this thread, I don't believe it's confusing enough yet.

So, i unfortunately picked up one of the 'IASF' regulators.... my question is in regard to the plugs. "Go by the labels on the reg, not the order, as Ford used 2 different plugs." I also picked up a wiring plug/pigtail from rock auto, matches my IASF regulator. Some correct me if i'm wrong...

Actually got a chance to work on the bike a bit this past weekend... finished up mounts for the HEI units, ford regulator and a generic rectifier. CB650HEIandVR04.jpg CB650HEIandVR01.jpg Everything fits neatly beneath the factory seat pan and airbox. Need to finish up mounts for the coils this week ...

Welcome here, Matt! :D Really not bad for a freebie. :lol: Yes, quite happy to 'upgrade' from my 96 FZR600 Thanks for the comments guys. Ignition key did not want to fit the cylinder, but i only argued with it for a few min. Will try again and get some better shots after i get her transported back ...

I also recently picked up a '79 in non-running condition. Looks all original to me... frame # is RC03-2016103 I'm missing one side cover that i havn't been able to find a match on ebay/CL/etc...
