That's what's suprised me about this one. Its in great shape, but that's a lot of money. Interesting to see what happens. CB 650 prices have been steady for ages on e-bay and elsewhere. You can still get a lot of bike for relatively small ammounts of dosh (asyou know :D ) I hope this doesnt attract ...

Looking cool! 8) Been riding steadily of the winter, but not on the CB. However, finishing off a few jobs over the next few days with a view to get her back on the road. I'm in the bizzare situation, like most other riders in this country I assume, where the only way you can make savings on hefty in...

Thanks for the reply. Im not mad, honest. Im not sure of piston size - though a quick gander at the brake pad profile suggests that the 500 and 650 pads are similar. Your explination refarding spongey brakes makes sense. Will dedicate this saturday to do a "proper" inspection of the whole ...

CX 500 calipers

Ok. I know. I've done loads of things on brakes. Stripped, boiled, burnt - you name it - I've done it. And that includes all the mistakes. Anyway, today is a suzuki day. So Mostly, I hve been doing suzuki things. basically cleaning it, coz I don't touch my suzuki. I let the garage do all that stuff....

Hi. The link wont work - but im assuming its the dave Silver replacement seat at £80? Yeah, thats the one I have. You are right. The seat looks a bit naked without the chrome strip - but to tell you the honest truth, I was so glad to get one that fits, Iv forgotten all about it! Oh while I'm on, my ...

Hey. Nice to have you on board. These guys will certainly look after you! Wow, what a machine! Fantastic buy. You must be one happy man! I vaguely remember this one on e-bay. The CB 650 has been very well represented on there recently. I echo what has been said about the spares situation. KEEP THEM!...

Same thought occured to me. Remember when I was looking at CX 500 grab rails? Wasn't there an issue with width though? The frame of a 500 is radically different to that of a CB - I tell you what is handy though. have you noticed that the CX's tail light unit is incorporated into the rear mudguard? V...

Hi Phil. yeah - looks terminal! Mine was a base from a CB 550 that had been re-covered at some point. Loads of rivets and self tappers. Foam had been butchered too to acomodate a rider of shorter stature than myself? Anyway - I looked at a few seats - look at my post (when is a CB 650 seat....) for ...

talk about sick as a dog! Mind you - eye of the beholder and all that. My donor bike was a heap and about 80% complete. I bought it for £30! Buying wholesale can be a good investment sometimes!! :) :P

I have a similar issue with my turn signals. They either stay on, really low - don't work at all or work half power front and full rear. Its a dodgy earth/ground I think. Loose connection somewhere in the headlamp bowl maybe. That's what i'd check first on yours. Bike wiring is notorious for breaks/...
