Re: Project Hobber - Bigg's Big Adventure

Got an hour in last night, got the front brakes off and bled the brake lines (though there was not much left). Re: Project Hobber - Bigg's Big Adventure

I'll post some pictures when I get them off. I'm sure there is damage to the rim and brake discs. I need to get some gloves. My hands were completely covered in grease, oil and dirt. Not that it's a bad thing.

Parts bike question

Quick question, just how much is interchangeable between the 80 and the 81 CB650 custom? I might have a line on a cheap parts bike, and was wondering if there is a fair deal that is interchangeable between the two.

Thanks guys!

Re: Motorcycle Hauler

I've never personally seen one with the rear wheel on the ground like that. Most I've seen are horizontal carriers where they are off the ground across the tailgate. Do you have a hidden hitch? This is what I was looking at eventually. Not specifically this model, but something similar. http://www.d...

Re: Project Hobber - Bigg's Big Adventure

Your best bet to check a frame is to google it. There's a few different methods to do it and it can get pretty involved. I would start by taking off those forks though, there trash anyway. All there gonna do is decieve you when looking at the frame. You can check the trees with a straight edge. Whi...

Re: Project Hobber - Bigg's Big Adventure

Oh forks are fubar (as pictures showed it, notice in the pics one with the wheel straight and then with the handlebars straight). The crash was at about 40kms/hr into the side of a truck (got cut off), so hopefully *crossing fingers* it was only the forks that were bent. It came down on the roll bar...

It's actually a 2010 Jeep Patriot if you're referring to my ride. The other is my room-mates Lumina

Re: Project Hobber - Bigg's Big Adventure

Going to disassemble the ignition tomorrow and get the code off of it and send away for a key

While I'm waiting, I'll complete the recommended prep before I try and turn her over. Plus I'll have some time to clean the tank! :D
