It's all gone...
Those who followed the story may recall that, having rebuilt it, I was parting out a lot of my 650Z. I did make a half-hearted attempt to rebuild it with another engine, but basically it's all finally been sold now. The rolling chassis was collected this morning. It's probably helped to keep about 6...

Re: 2 bikes, $150
BTW: These molten spark units might still work. Don't throw them away before you are sure they don't work. Mine did the same many years ago, put back the (toxic!) black stuff, covered with epoxy and they still work fine. Yes, second that, they're probably still OK. Might look nasty but so did mine ...

Re: Renewing steering bearings
The bearing location is a larger diameter then the main stem, so, as Volker says, You only need to fit the bearing over the last few mm's. You can just make out in this picture where the stem widens just above the lower race. http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s9/cb650/pic082.jpg To get the lower ra...

Seat for sale on ebay UK
Looks reasonably sound from the pictures, could do with re-covering neatly.
Seller has no connection to me, but I know seats or at least good seat bases, are sought after.

Re: Oil leak and stripped bolt
Make sure there's a copper washer there first as that might be all you need *unless the bolt really doesn't tighten up any more in which case you'll need to helicoil or similar) When I first rebuilt mine I used new stainless bolts and washers, forgetting this bolt needs a copper one, and oil just pu...
