What bolts for fork tubes?
Hey guys, I've been struggling to change the fork seals on my 81 650c. The bolts that hold the lower to the fork tubes where seemingly far too tight. I managed to get one out the other already butchered pretty good stripped. Drilled it and put an extractor in, it snapped off. So I drilled the whole ...

Me too. I got it working again but that shifter looks bad now.
Maybe its time to pull the trigger on some rear sets.

low speed wreck bent shifter
Was turning into my alley Friday afternoon. Its kind of a blind corner, 20ft of shrub rows on both side and a big garage right after. Brick road too, I hate that. I'll be entering from the other end of the alley from now on, much better view. I was in the middle of turning when a car came out from b...

I've only ridden a couple Harleys, I think the Honda 4 has spoiled me. I don't like the vibes of the v-twins.

Re: My 1980 CB650 Custom
I very rarely run into people not waving. I think twice this year. One of those I'm pretty sure was shifting so only one really. A few weeks back I passed a huge group ride, must of been a mile of bikes. They all waved, first time I had to stop waving to shift 4 times. lol Sometimes if my wife is on...

Its a nice feeling when that happens isn't it. I was sitting at a stop sign the other night. when a woman coming thru the intersection stopped her car to tell me my bike was beautiful.

Re: Engine noise at specific RPM
I'm not an expert but mine made a sound like that when one of the screws holding the exhaust shields under the pegs came loose. Shield would vibrate.
I hope it is some thing that easy for you anyway.

project: stainless front fairing
I've been wanting an alloy front fairing for some time, too rich for my wallet though. Something low and sleek. The black one I have is too tall and the black doesn't go well with the tank. I was in the garage last night fooling around and built this guy. http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i52/jy2k1/...
