Selling my 1981 cb650c bobber/cafe racer SOLD

It runs well, tires are about a year old, new battery, custom made seat, new needles and gaskets in the carbs, new air filter, new chain and sprockets. Just tried that with wd-40 and there was no notable differsnce in idle. I should also mention that When i rev the engine it returns to high idle very slowly.

When I start the bike it idles at about 1500. Then when i ride it the idle slowly grows higher and higher. By the time i get to my destination my...

Re: Gasleaking from air box?

So I replaced the float needles put the carbs back on the bike and nothing had changed. Gas is still leaking from the air intake throats the minute the bike it turned off. Also the bike will barely stay running. It runs very rough and Won't really idol. I don't know what else to do....

Re: Gasleaking from air box?

yeah, that's what I came up with. I ordered some new needles a few days ago and figured I'd buy some gaskets too. I'll put them in when they get here and let you guys know the results! Thanks

Re: Gasleaking from air box?

is it possible that the rubber tips on the float needles have hardened and I'm not feeling properly anymore? I did a visual inspection but I am no motorcycle mechanic... They looked good to me though.
