Hope this thread ain't dead! After honing my bores, the ID expanded to just about and/or at the wear limit. What should I do?
Over sized rings or pistons?
I mapped the bores as one should, and they all measure around 2.356-2.358".

Re: Graveyard resurrect: 82 650
Man, it has been a while. Wife and I just recently moved last year... june... so a year ago, to Florida. I have a two car garage and I just got everything where it truly needs to be. Will post pics later. As far as the build goes: My honing of the bores seemed to bring the ID to near wear limits. I ...

Re: 82 cb650 Bearing set rings; In need of one
The third or 2nd needs to be replaced due to a chip in the tooth. Grind the cogs? what do you mean?
I'll have a look see on ebay again and will let you know. Replacement costs are no issue. Better off with the rind than with out .

Re: Tank cleaning.
In truth, depending on the state of your tank... or whatever. If its just gunked up and very little rust, then yeah electrolysis won't have much of an effect since its a chemical reastion to iron oxide (rust). No rust, no chem. reaction. I like heavy concentrations of pine sol to de grease. better s...

Re: trouble with rocker threaded cotter pins
har har. Well, the bottom of the pins have plenty of clearance if laid on a flat surface to just start the pin out. But this particular assembly is proving to be a righteous pain in my ace. I've soaked them every day for the last 5 days with PB, last night I took a torch to one cotter ( and around t...
