Burned out fuse
I noticed the other day that I wasn't getting any power... electrical power. I replaced the set of fuses near the instruments and charged the battery but that didn't have any effect. After a bit more poking around, I discovered this fuse was burned out... the damn thing just fell apart when I touche...

Re: Pushing in the slow jets
ok you said 120. That is not a press in idle jet size. "These 120 jets are the ones that get pushed into the carb body but they don't seem to want to slide in." from your 1st post. @cb650 - Thanks for clearing that up. You are totally correct, the 120's (main jets) are threaded and the 42...

Re: Pushing in the slow jets
the main jets screw in and should be 90 for your bike. the idle jets press in and are 35 or so. Thanks but that's not the issue I'm faced with. I need to know the best way to get those slow jets in because they aren't sliding in as easily as I would expect. Regarding your comment, I have a, 2 to 1 ...

Pushing in the slow jets
I'm attempting to finish this carb rebuild on my '80 650c but I'm puzzled by the slow jets. These 120 jets are the ones that get pushed into the carb body but they don't seem to want to slide in. So my question is this: Do I need to man up and push those suckers into place? Should I lube them first?...

Re: Wow, had a massive oil leak.
That is bogus!
You're lucky it didn't turn into a worse situation - like a lubed up back tire going into a turn.

Carb puzzle
Hi Everyone - I started working on my carbs last weekend, see that post here. I purchased this rebuild kit and new jets from JetsRUs. The new jets buy was inspired by a post I read here. These are the jets. GENUINE Keihin main size 120 (SKU- 99101-393 ) Keihin slow jet size 42 (SKU- K 3L) I'm runnin...

Taptalk is a plugin for forums, like this one, that allows users to view and post from there mobile phones. SOHC and DoTheTon are two forums I use via TapTalk and I'd love to use this one too. Do you think the forum owner would like to add TapTalk to this forum? Here is the link . If you are interes...

Re: Reupholstered / reshaped CB650 seat
Is this a 1980 seat? Looking at your bike, looks like you have a 79 tank. Sweet ride - see you around the streets of ATX! (Once I get my bike running...) The seat is from a 1980 CB650 but the tank is questionable. It's actually too long. I thought it might have came from a 1980 CB750 but who knows....

Sunday night carb rebuild
Hello everyone - I hit a low point today with my 1980 650C and spent most of the day moping around and telling myself, "Fuck it, sell the bike and buy a Triumph!". When that didn't fix my problem, I decided to pull the carbs and start going through them... I discovered something interestin...

Reupholstered / reshaped CB650 seat
When I bought my CB650, the seat was just sitting on the frame. I never actually checked to see if the seat fit properly I just popped it on and rode off. Couple months later, I drop some cash reupholstering the existing seat pan. Come to find out, the seat doesn't fit because the tank is too long /...

1980 CB650 Custom
Hey guys - I'm new to forum and new to riding. I always wanted a bike and decided to indulge myself on my 30th birthday. I've been tinkering with my 1971 CB175 and my new CB650C for the last 2 years (it's been slow moving). While the aesthetics are working out the performance could use some help. I'...
