Re: SEARCHING FOR DUAL DISC FRONT SPOKED WHEEL

CB650 spoked front is only single disk and I think spoked rear was 17" rim/tyre only. Probably you are going for something like this: http://www.hondacb650.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=15106&p=96265 A spoked version of the typical EU combination of dual front disk with 16" (Custom) or ...

Re: SEARCHING FOR DUAL DISC FRONT SPOKED WHEEL

Aha! Excellent advice! Thanks guys! I didn't know that was the case, nor about the single sided disc setup.
Thanks Volker for the link to Ewe's post, awesome stuff. Have written him to ask what he did :)

Re: My little black Panther . . .

Hey Ewe, awesome ride! Nice one!
Could you tell me a little about the wheel setup you've used?
I have comstars and am looking to switch to spokes.
What have you used for the front end? Wheel, brake, forks..
Thanks! :)

SEARCHING FOR DUAL DISC FRONT SPOKED WHEEL

Ahoy CB650 Community! I'm on the hunt for a dual disc front spoked wheel. I'd like to make the switch to spoked. My bike is a 1981 model B (I'm quite sure. I think in EU that makes it a Z model) and is fitted with Comstars. I'm in Europe, If anybody this side of the pond has a wheel kicking about I'...

HELP! Dual Front disc brake rebuild..

Hey guys, Can anybody offer some advice on a 1981 Z (B) Model 650. I'm working on a dual disc system up front and both the calipers have been completely dismantled for paint and restoration. I've replaced all the necessary parts and ensured the proper fit etc but I am unsure of the following things ...

Re: Cylinder 2 & 4 Not Working

Added oil to the plugs. no improvements. Got frustrated so took the carbs off the bike, dismantled and reassembled them. Started up the bike and it sounded great. Now cylinders 2 & 4 are firing again. They are not as hot as cylinder 1 & 3 but they are responding. Not checked the compression ...

Re: Cylinder 2 & 4 Not Working

Hey guys,

Have checked the compression readings on the two working cylinders and they are reading around 85 - 90 psi. Clymer manual tells me that this is low. Low meaning the beginning of a problem.

Help?! Any thoughts next?

Re: Cylinder 2 & 4 Not Working

i've cut the coil cable 5mm and have ensured a good amount of contact between both ends. I've also tested without the boot, where the spark plug is pushed directly into contact with the cable, only on cylinder 2 though.
Still shows weak spark.

Will come back to you with compression readings :)

Re: Cylinder 2 & 4 Not Working

Hey Folsoml, I've checked all the plugs, number 1 and 3 spark fine but 2 is particularly weak and number 4 is actually sparking really well. Perhaps a little too well. I've tested with the old coils and a pair of brand new coils. I read briefly about the relay system but don't know a great deal abou...

Cylinder 2 & 4 Not Working

Hey guys, Cylinders 2 and 4 aren't working on the 1981. I have weak spark on cylinder 2, but cylinder 4 sparks well. Have tried everything - New spark plugs, New & old coils have been tested. Swapped boots & leads over. Carbs have been off 3 times and checked. All is fine. Carbs have recentl...

4 into 1 or 2 into 2 exhaust?

Hey guys, Just wondering if you could offer a little technical knowhow... My CB currently has a 4 into 1 exhaust which is lovely and sounds great. When I bought the bike I asked the guy why he'd made this change and he told me it was because of the sound. I've recently been thinking about changing t...

Wow, Mighost, that's exciting! This would work for replacing the wheels of a '81 z model? Thanks!
