Re: How do I change my fork oil?
I haven't really tackled it yet, but i remember wondering how the heck to remove the air assist stuff. A nice big socket is all that is needed on my other bikes.

How do I change my fork oil?
Any links, help, or tips would be very appreciated. I have an 1981, so I have the air assist on my forks, and I'm not sure how to remove the caps and stuff. How much oil? Oil weight? My front end is super soft. Would my springs be shot, or is lit more likely that my fork oil is shot, or very low. Th...

Is it a big job to replace these, and what's involved?

K, I'll make sure to check. Is the main fuse expensive or hard to find?

It's deff a labor of love.
Ever think about changing the bars? Makes a bike difference. I put a set of superbike bars on mine, and it makes a bike difference in the riding position.

Re: When I try to start my bike, I just get a single click
Hmmm.... then here's another question/thing I noticed. If I put a charger on the bike - positive lead on the positive side of the battery, and when I put the ground lead on the neg post of the battery, frame or engine, I don't get a spark from the negative connector. I should be getting a spark shou...

Re: When I try to start my bike, I just get a single click
Crossing the polls on the solenoid does nothing, which leads me to believe that that is the problem. I may have to take it apart to clean it and hopefully that will fix it. Just out of curiosity, how much is a replacement, and are they even available?

Re: When I try to start my bike, I just get a single click
The thing is, I'm not sure what worked. Maybe it was us moving wires around... banging the solenoid... not sure, but I'm sure I'll figure it out.
Heading to work on the bike now. Bringing a bottle of connection cleaner/lubricant to see if I can figure it out.

The wiring diagram shows a green, third wire which is not connected so your tudoesn't gnal relay could be stock.
That's kinda weird that there old be a green wire just floating around in there. should it be tape up so that it doesn't touch anything?

Re: Just picked up a 1981 CB650
I started the bike for the first time today. Ran and rev'd like a charm. I believe I have a bad connection somewhere, so the next step is to clean all the connections.
