CB650 forks

I have a standard ´81 CB650 with non leading axle forks. I need a new inner fork tube because one is hacked and damages the seal. I see lots of 650SC models and wondered if the leading axle forks have the same inner 35mm fork tubes.

Re: Float Valve

That's kind of what I was thinking..that if it closes within the range of the float movement, I should give it a try. There is no way to adjust these floats.

I'll check out that site too, thx!

Float Valve

Where can I get a proper float valve for my '81 CB650 CV carb? I ordered the correct part number from Honda (16155-413-751) but it is too short. See pic.

Re: Carb inlet replacemnt "T's" source??

That's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks! Ordered. I guess the original ones just rotted right off and left no sign of their existence.

Re: Carb inlet replacemnt "T's" source??

Dredging up this old thread to see if anyone has that part number. I don't even see the Tee's listed on any exploded view of my carbs.
Also, if it's just a vent, is it really required?

Re: Where does this breather connect to?

I guess I'm talking to myself here but for anyone else looking to solve a similar problem, I figure that hose should go to a 'T' between the carbs (which is missing on mine).

Re: The easy way to get carbs back on.

Side note: For me it was WAY easier to mount the boots (boiled for 10 minutes first) to the carbs first then wrestle all four of them on to the cylinders as opposed to mounting the boots to the cylinders first and trying to get all four onto the carbs. This method took it from being impossible to on...

Re: Where does this breather connect to?

Thanks for the reply but I'm still confused. The one from the carb airbox (part #11) goes to #31 down to the breather box thing. Fine. This one in question (#8 in the pic) comes out of the bottom front of the actual air filter box (the hose connector near #25). It is about 14" long and has a sn...

Re: Where does this breather connect to?

I have that one hooked up so I must have the wrong number in the pic. It attaches to the bottom/front of the airbox by #25 though. My breather tube connects the center Valve cover to the TOP of the airbox. Number 12 in this pic: http://www.partzilla.com/parts/search/Honda/Motorcycle/1981/CB650+A/CYL...

Re: Powdercoating frame

I don't know if they are the same but I was able to press mine out with a tool from the bicycle shop used for pressing out bearings, etc. It worked perfect and I was able to press them back in.
Btw, don't try to powder coat with any rubber attached.

Re: Center stand pics?

I figured it out. It was the right angle pieces that form a hose guide.
