Re: Air Filter pod
OK, things look better with some sleep. I have had a crazy schedule for a couple of weeks. I understand your question now. First; I am not a Pipe Designer and know only enough to be dangerous but I know how to ask the right people and listen to them and That is why I had mine built for my 80cb650c. ...

Re: Very high idle speed when hot
Welcome to the forum Sir. Good Start. Air leaks are difficult to find at first and easy to miss. *Try a basic Inspection for Carb Operation. 1) Check Idle Adjustment Screw, Cable full return and free play and full travel. Make sure it is clean and operating correct and easy no binding and so on. 2) ...

Re: Air Filter pod
So I had a friend of mine Design and build a set of 4 into one pipes for me. I have not seen them yet but will in a couple of days. You could copy the set you have now as it is 4 into 1 correct? The stock pipe, the one inside not outer shield is actually near perfect diameter for the 650. My Friend ...

Re: Dynojektkit drilling the drottle valve
So Honda Racing Started back in the 60's drilled the slides and went in small increments for the reasons I mentioned above. If you get the holes too big it raises the Idle speed too high. But drilling Manual slides was a Directive Straight from The Factory Race team and is a Good Performance option ...

Re: Air Filter pod
I spoke with K&N about the RC 2362 Oval 2 into 1 filter. It does fit the CV but not the PD carb. I spoke with Richard there and he asked for the OD dimensions of Throttle body, Center to Center bore spacing and the distance from the edge of the carb body and distance to frame and he will find a ...

Re: Dynojektkit drilling the drottle valve
I looked up the website and saw no listing for the 79 or 80. I called the company and asked if they made a Jet Kit for the 79 and 80 cb650 SOHC and they confirmed that they do not make a kit at this time. The next question then is which kit do you have? What make and model number is your carburetor?...

No.
It can be welded but more expensive than replacing it.

Re: Air Filter pod
So Large Cones will work but Experiment with Jetting. *4 into 1 is best performance on a in line four ( good Bottom, mid and top end) *Stock 2 into 1 is the worst- (left 2-1 and right 2-1) but runs good at top end and needs to be kept high in the mid range to pull *Outside 2 into one is much better,...

Re: Dynojektkit drilling the drottle valve
MY Mistake. It has Little to do with A/F Ratio. I was thinking of the butterfly valve/plate. Yours suggest larger holes in the Round Slide Correct? So That does TWO THINGS: 1) It Reduces the Vacuum on the slide at Rest or Closed Position . When Throttle is off or Completely closed the slides Have a ...

Re: Dynojektkit drilling the drottle valve
Hello!
What carburetor do you have? The Model number is on the side of carb body.
I have looked at those kits but have not used one on a cb650.
Post Pictures when you can.

Re: Air Filter pod
OK. K&N made a POD style Airfilter that fit Two Carburetors that works pretty well. So the left two into one filter that appears as one pod from the side, and also the right two into one. Much work has been done on the subject and a member has posted his jetting and pods specific that are workin...
