Re: Finally got my hands on a cb650

PS - What's the budget to media blast and powder coat a frame? I'm considering it, but not right away. Still in the "get it road worthy" phase.

Re: Finally got my hands on a cb650

Question for you: if you look at the side cover, at the "Custom" emblem, then go straight down. Is there a roller guide for the drive chain? My bike is missing little things all over, so hard to know what is stock and what isn't. For example, I realized when I got the bike home that there ...

Re: Won't stay running

I think the tops are different, but everything else is essentially the same, or at the very least "materially similar."

Re: Carb sync

Makes more sense now, at least. Looks like i need to buy some tubes; #2 has a built-in tube (I removed and filled with a screw, bypassing the cutoff), #3 sounds inaccessible, even with the Magic Tool.

Anybody have a Magic Tool for sale or loan?

Carb sync

So I've found the videos and pictures of how to make a DIY Manometer to sync the carbs. What I have not found is where to hook the manometer too on the bike. Pictures?

Also, what's the right level for the floats?

Yes, I tried the search feature, yes I tried google.

I'm following this thread. Where did you get the rings? Are they OEM?

Re: The easy way to get carbs back on.

I replaced all four boots with new ones. I put a trace of 5w-40 inside each boot opening to lubricate them, muscled them onto the head, then spent 20 minutes trying without success to get the carbs on. I tried the strap and POOF they seated. Thanks!

CM400E tank

I just recently picked up a 1981 CB650 and took it for two short rides before setting in to "make it right." Pics to follow in the next few days. Not having had a street bike before, I didn't realize exactly how much it was missing, but I'm not afraid of a little work. Motor ran strong (st...

Re: Parting Out: Honda CB650

Looking for some stock front blinkers and a tach cable. On the cheap. If I found a seat-back for the passenger, that would be pretty cool too. I have all of these. Send me an email at witttom@yahoo.com with your zipcode and we'll figure out what we can do. 2 emails sent. Let me know if you didn't g...
