Re: aftermartket coils?
FZRKidd, I talked to Dyna Today, and they recommended i use DC1-2 Mini Coils rated @ 3ohms and used without a ballast Resistor (not a direct bolt on for the stock coils, mounting needs to be modified) They also suggested i use DW600 Wires if i wanted to eliminate the stock resister caps DW600's are ...

Re: 1980 CB650z RC03 Café Racer (ish) project
Today I made a new A4 stainless front engine mount and I received my velocity stacks from Steel Dragon Performance. Hi, just wondering what ones you ordered, was it the PD ones from the 550? I talked to the guy at Steeldragon, they are Here in my State of Minnesota, according to the measurements we...

Re: 81 Custom Bogging at highway speed | Difficult to start
"Problem is he said he has already done that mod. If your running stock pipes, and stock filter ur jet should be stock @90 iirc. Not to say it wont lean back out @90, but a few jets between what u have and 90 should work, if u think its fat." No stock for 81 is 120. NO! u cant be right lo...

Re: 81 Custom Bogging at highway speed | Difficult to start

Re: 1981 Suzuki gs650g restore
Yeah, some guy on the GS forum was claiming that Shaft driven bikes couldnt do wheelies, and another member posted up about 5 vids showing shaft driven suzuki wheelies, and heck Wings are shaft driven and ride wheelies. That guy was not very smart. Its not a ton of power, but it is some, it parasiti...

Re: aftermartket coils?
Fzrkidd, according to everything i read so far is that the coils Dyna offers for us (650) are the 3ohm, I dont know if a ballast resistor is required to keep the electrical draw within spec to keep the battery charged. I will be finding out more when i get a set this winter, check out the SOHC4 foru...

Re: Scrambled mind
I seen your thread over on SOHC4 forums
I have seen a few Yamaha XS's with a similar exhaust, but none on a 650, u might check with a local exhaust shop and see if they can bend u a custom set but i bet it wouldnt be cheap.

That wire is A LONG way away from the battery...... how did u connect it there? did u re wrap the harness or something?

Front Caliper
I seen in another thread CB650 said it seems that the caliper seals (rebuild kit) seem to be extremely rare or none existant for the 79/80 bikes with the Tokico Front calipers. Has anyone found a source for these? I tore mine down tonight to inspect and the piston is missing the dust seal altogether...
