Rear Tyre Sizes
Hi All
I'm needing to fit a new rear tyre and I was wondering what is the widest tyre that can be fitted to a 2.15 wide Comstar wheel.
Currently I have a 4.00/18 inch (100mm) on it.
Bike has been bobbed
cheers

Re: Pilot screws - when are they in operation
I thought that I would post an update to this one my mixture issues were not carb related but it was the tank. I have fitted a custom tank, it dies not have a vent pipe. the original filler cap did not seal very well so when I filled it up fuel would slosh out when cornering, so I fixed it with a ne...

Re: Pilot screws - when are they in operation
Right then, a couple of hours work and she is running sweet as a nut again. So in sequence I did this morning:- 1 - changed plugs - no change except that I noticed that one of my (new) ignitoion leads was arcing to the head, fixed the missfire on idle 2 - Adjusted the timing chain - just to make sur...

Re: Pilot screws - when are they in operation
:( :( Thanks Both I took the cone filter off this evening and with the engine running, cracked open the throttle slightly and could see a spit back out the back of the carb. so carbs or ignition? So tonight I changed to plugs (new 300 miles ago) I will check the ignition timing tomorrow, then look a...

Pilot screws - when are they in operation
Hi All so as part of a full rebuild of the bike, I did a full sprip down, clean and service of the carbs (bike is an 81 with 50A carbs). for the first 2 weeks it ran sweet as a nut, but in the last week, I get an intermittent misfire when on low throttle settings and low revs, Crank it open and all ...

Re: CB650C Project from P. I. Needs help of a brethren..
The choke spring looks good to me,
I've also just done mine
there should be no direct link between the choke lever (black plastic bit) as the choke flaps need to open on their own (against the spring) when the throttle is opened and the engine revs
looking good

my new bobber
Hi All from the UK this is my first bobber, love it it is based on an 1981 CB650z. I bought the original bike on ebay for £300, did not run, carbs pissed fuel, and to be honest it was a bodge. the frame mods were good though. So I've done a full strip and rebuild (everything has come from ebay :) ) ...

wiring question
Hi all
I'm doing a rebuild, and I can't remember if the connecting plugs at the head stock are under the tank or behind the headlamp.
in other words does the main loom extend past the headstock or stop before the metal wire loops at the headstock
cheers

question on Air Cut off Valves
Hi All So I've completely stripped the carbs ready for an ultrasonic bath and I found that the PO has removed all four of the Air Cut off Valves, looking at the forum posts, this would appear to be ok as long as you block the air bleed passages. what will be the result of my set-up, should I install...
