I had to drill the seat lock out to get the seat to lift up.There was a dirt dobber nest in there,plus a 12 year old battery.Put the key in the ignition,nothing. Jap junk battery I guess.Now the tank is off and full of vinegar for a couple hours.Have to work tonight and tomorrow but wednesday i will...

A carb expert friend of mine is going to rebuild my carbs.He said to use replacement stainless fasteners(screws). no re-jetting is required, all I had to do was raise the needle one groove. The most important this is the velocity stacks (one of the problem with pod filters). I found that the mild steel ones from a Rover V8 are perfect (when cut down) and only cost £25 on ebay http://i1283.photobucket.com/album...

I am excited.Just bought a used manual from amazon for $12.Going to get 2 more donor bikes tomorrow.one of them has good tires and a nice tank.That pays for them right there.I printed the manual here, but it is large, the small one will go with me wherever i go.
