If you can weld, you can make anything fit. I'm not saying it won't bolt right in, I just have no experience with such things.

Honda still makes them. You can try your local Honda shop, or buy them online here:

What is it doing? Did you see the carb cleaning manual in the General Discussion forum? It has step by step instructions on how to reassemble your bank so the chokes open and close smoothly.

Re: Hello from a new member. 1979 Cb650 with a couple of issues.
You say you cleaned the carbs, but did not take them apart? It's tough to get them really clean while they are still together. There are a lot of internal passages that can get plugged. Also, if the fuel tank has not been thoroughly cleaned, there may have been debris in the tank that came out and i...

Re: Need Help Troubleshooting
There is a free manual here in the general discussion forum. It contains information on how to adjust the clutch. If your battery is fully charged, but it is still not starting, try bridging the gap between the two bolts on the solenoid. If the engine turns over, its a pretty good indicator that you...

Has it been doing this all along, or is it a new development? It may be worth checking again.

I'd wager you have an air leak. Let the bike idle, and spray some brake cleaner (not carb cleaner) on each of the carb insulators. Any change in idle is an indication of a leak.
Good luck!
Good luck!

Re: Need Help Troubleshooting
The first thing is: Never believe anything a previous owner told you. If he said he cleaned them a month ago, he may have done it last year sometime. Seafoam IS one of the things that can cause something in the tank to come loose. There is a fuel filter built into the petcock, but over the yea...

Re: Need Help Troubleshooting
Welcome to the forum! You are correct in that your bike does not have a kickstand switch. When the bike dies when you put it in gear, does it feel like it wants to lurch forward at all? If so, the issue could be that your clutch is not disengaging. I know you say it shifts fine when the bike is off,...

Re: Advice on shady mechanic situation
What do you think? I think they're screwing me a few hundred dollars. As I said earlier: You should never buy a 30+ year old ANYTHING unless you plan to work on it yourself. I know you've done a lot with it yourself, but if you are to the point where you HAVE to take it to someone, it may be time t...

Re: 1981 CB650c Won't Start
Since the bike won't run correctly as long as either problem exists, they are both equally important. The seats are not removable, and there should not be an o-ring or anything else in them. When you clean them, they should shine like new pennies. I use cotton swabs and a product called Nevr-dull. N...

Re: CuzYNot's carb jets
I took this pout of the carb manual thread and made it into a thread of it's own. Take a look at the side of one of your carb bodies. Your bike should have VB44A carbs. If they are from the 82 model, as CB650 suggested above, they will be VB44C carbs. If there is any other model number on them, tell...
