Crazy Bagger-ish Idea.....maybe?
I LOVE the look of most baggers, if i had the cash i would have either a HD Street Glide or a New Style GoldWing (F6?? i think idk). Let me start by saying I will be hardtailing my 650 this winter, and i was debating if it would be kind of neat to pick up a cheap set of used HD hard saddles, and do ...

Re: HOW CLOSE IS TOO CLOSE?
IMO, as long as it doesnt boil the gas and vapor lock, it should be fine. I plan on finding a larger harley tank for when i hardtail mine this winter

Re: cb650 hardtail sections soon to be available
yes love the idea, i was debating using a TCBros Universal Kit, but an assembled and welded tail, with alot less fab for me would be awesome. @ $349 thats a heck of a deal IMO.

Re: Swapping 650 Carbs with 750 Carbs
probably answering my own question here, but is swapping to 750 carbs to make rebuilding easier?
I ask because i have had a tough time finding gaskets to redo my bowls that leak about a drop every week or so, and have a sticky orange tint to them. (Varnished)
Are there any other benefits?

Re: cell phone mounts
I like the look of that rokform mount.
I bought a cheap ebay kit, should get it mid month, i will review it and let ppl know how it holds up.
It looked like the higher quality of the cheap ebay stuff lol, so hopefully it lasts, and if it doesnt rokform is in my future lol

Re: New here check out my cb650c
my 79, has a nice crisp throttle response too, enough to walk all over a friends 2011 750 shadow. I thought my other friend was feeding me a line, when he said he was more impressed with the 650 (he is my bikes PO) than he was with his 78 750 super sport or his 76 cb 750. Its nice when the red-heade...

Re: Need Gearing Advice
79 had only one model. I always thought it was excessive rpm's too. first think I ever changed was the front sprocket. What did u step up to? I havent even researched what the front gear is, when i removed the rear to swap out the old tire, i thought i saw 41 stamped in the rear. soon as i get a ch...

Re: Need Gearing Advice
Sorry it's a 1979 650 the standard one I believe.
So is sustaining 6k rpm for a period of time normal, I just don't want to hurt the engine. I try to vary my speed often, but it just seems like a bad idea to keep the revs that high. But I'm no expert lol

Need Gearing Advice
Hey, folks. After getting my bike temporarily customized to finish out the riding season, I have experienced a few things i am not fond of, as in im not happy with the RPM im running while running down the highway. My tach gauge has a bent needle so it never drops to 0, but i think its still fairly ...
