Re: Wheel Change - Comstars to Spoked

Is there spoke wheels that can just be swapped out? I have a 79' 650 with single disc comstars that Ive tried mounting cb750 spoke wheels on. Having issues with some type of binding of the wheel bearings on the front wheel. It doesnt want to spin freely when the axle is tightened. I've gotten frust...

Re: Wheel Change - Comstars to Spoked

Do you have the dual disc brake, or just the single disc? If you have the dual disc. The adapter plates that jerry makes is the only way that I have found to convert to spokes with the comstar hub. I have been considering this mod as I have a front comstar with a dead rim. If you have single disc. Y...

Re: Starting issues, Always needs starting fluid

Cold start procedure. 1. Give throttle 3-5 good twists. This loads the intake with fuel for startup. 2. Pull choke. This will help make the fuel/air mixture rich, and easier to fire. It also engages the high idle cam on the carbs to allow proper warm up. 3. Start the bike. You may have to feather th...

Re: 79 CB650 - Main Fuse Question + Starter Problems

is this the wrong solenoid for my bike? Does it matter? I bought an inline fuse holder off Amazon that takes your standard ATC size fuse, but the holder itself is pretty big. Was thinking about switching to a mini-fuse (ATM) holder to try and keep it tidier - any risk in running a smaller sized fus...

Re: Replacing clutch master cyclinder - 14mm or 5/8"

A little sleuthing around shows that the piston rebuild kit for the original 84 clutch master uses a comparable piston to the single disc brake master. Which is known to be the 14 mm piston. I would have no problem using the 14mm master cylinder in your application.

Re: Crazy Bagger-ish Idea.....maybe?

The last post was 2012? Thats alot of research LOL. The sad part is i wouldnt even mind just getting a goldwing and removing the backrest and trunk, they just seem to get alot of cash for those goldwings. lol When you drive a truck for a living, and only get 2-3 days a month to do anything. It take...
