loose cam chain will tick and so will valves where the cam lob meets the valve spring. time to take the cam cover off and check some gaps.

its very simply change, the seal sits higher than the oil level so check and make sure you dont have to much oil in the engine. that will cause the leak as well. its a simple friction fit and nothing holds it in place. a quarter size over night sounds to me like you have to much oil or not the right...

clutch slipping.
my clutch slips around 7k rpm and usually only 2nd or 3rd. im guessing its simply just torque and 30k miles causing it to slip, do I need new disks or is there something I can add to the oil or can the disks me refurbished? orrr is there an adjustment to the "clutch press" not sure of the ...

I did the fluorescent light calibration and my tach or the test is only about 100 or less apart. so im 95% sure I roll 70MPH at 4500k. IDK.

Idk if climate may have something to do with the bike or not but my 79` in Ohio runs at 4500 at 70 with no mods. so are you sure you are getting accurate results?

isnt way is to see if your exhaust is blue. thats a clear tell its rings or valve boots

Okay so I did the bike pump test and the sensor works fine. Even with the wire off the light is still on. so I uncoupled the harness from inside the headlight and test the blue wire (runs to pressure sensor) to ground and I get nothing. but if I put meter on DC and one of the leads on the + battery ...

Thanks for all the help everyone... I have found that the ground to the regulator wasnt strong enough as I repainted the frame over the winter where it mounts. this is the ground for the VR295 btw.

My oil light is on but I know my oil level is fine as well as the pump is working as I took the valve caps off to observe. Is it possible for this switch to stick? also is it safe for me to remove that cap? and clean or look at the switch. EDIT. after hours of play and web searching I have found out...

ok so since it seems as if the black and white wire tests failed and the white runs through the regulator to the battery does this mean the regulator is bad?
