A couple pics of my build during mock up. At final assembly now, then new wiring harness from scratch.

and a few more.......

This has been almost a two year process of trial and error, fitting, cutting, welding, ordering & waiting for parts, etc. Glad to be at the stage of putting her back together.

Looks good! What'd you use to paint engine?

The engine was rebuilt by the previous PO, ran good so I removed form from and plugged every hole and soda blasted. Then I rattle can sprayed with Harley Davidson Black Texture engine paint. Turned out really well and from what I could find online this paint holds up really well. We'll see.

I have a spare engine I might tear apart and build up next year, at least now I can get the bike mobile and sorted out then if a want more power go from there.

Great looking build. Im just starting one of the same. Have you got any specs of some of the parts you have changed like the front forks, yoke swing arm and wheels. Were these a straight swap or did they need some mods.
Cheers Dave.

Hey I’m doing a similar build and just wanted to know if I can use zx6r wheels on my 81 Honda or any minders wheels at that?

Those are Keihin CR Smoothbores. Be prepared to pay a bundle for them.

Here is a set on Ebay for $1289.
