Bike #5, 81 CB650C

Just picked this up Wednesday for $500. Runs good, but has oil leak from I believe around the breather cover, so I will be replacing the gasket. Previous owner (pic is from his FB ad) was attempting to turn it into a bobber. I ordered a good condition OEM seat for $75 on ebay and a KG sissy bar. Now the elusive hunt for saddle bag support brackets and luggage rack. I'm not planning on restoring it, just get it somewhat to original and set up for the way I travel. Image

Here are the other bikes of mine. 07 1200 sportster, 81 CM200T, 79 TS125, and 86 VT500. Also have a 83 VT500 parts bike.

Nice find! I was going to ask about the electra glide behind it, but I reread your post and saw that was from the PO's ad.

A common place where these old CB650's will leak is from one of the rubber pucks that cover the hold to the cylinder head bolts. From where is it leaking?

That I am not quite sure yet. I can see it is leaking from near the top and draining down. I've got it at a friend's place and will be bringing it home tomorrow for cleaning and inspection. Once I get the outside of the engine clean I'll have a better idea of where the leak is

Top meaning either from the breather cover or the top end gaskets. Good cleaning and running the bike will give me a better idea.
