My Cb650

Well guy's, here is my CB650 Custom finally done and on the road (legally 8)). It passed its MOT (road worthiness certificate for non UK members) about three weeks ago and I taxed it today (thieving UK Government drinking vouchers) so its all legit. It has only taken me eleven months to fix it up from a non running pile of crap to what you see here today
It was a long hard struggle at times and I'd like to thank all of you guy's, past and present, for your input on this excellent site, without who's help this would probably still be a non running but quite tidy looking pile of crap! Non of you are getting any credit for MY hard work polishing the bejeezus out of everything with toothbrushes and billions of tubes of Solvol Autosol  and removing rust and repainting where necessary, that was all down to me :P
I took her out today for her maiden voyage (apart from to the MOT station) and she ran smooth round the country lanes where I live, no excessive speed, more of a "getting to know her" kind of ride. Only once did she hesitate, after a long series of twisty left and right handers I came to a straight and whacked the throttle open, and she just spluttered  I closed the throttle and opened it again (somewhat less brutally) and she picked up straight away to 60mph.
I think the problem was caused by the rider thinking he was still on his Kawasaki 750 that thrives on such ill treatment  and nothing to do with the poor old Honda.

Great looking bike, you should be proud of that one. It takes a lot of elbow grease to get them to that condition.

Thanks Kerryb, I'm currently doing my 82 SOHC Nighthawk.
