Well, here is my new bike. My first bike as well. Was running when I bought her last Saturday, but I have since developed a gas leak, as you can see. Tires looked to be in good condition, but now front one won't hold air. Thought I was getting a deal, but whatever, I'm still excited!

Congratulation to your new, pretty nighthawk!
For the fuel leak, maybe you got a bit dirt into the carbs or the floaters got sticky with standing. Make sure by a look on the Dot number that the tires are not really old. Depending also on how much it did stand out in the sun, tires get hard after typically 5-7 years which means they are hopelessly slippery on wet roads. Then you'll crash more than you save on the money for new tires. And moreover Terry will be heartbroken!

yep, before I get it inspected I'm replacing the tires. they are either 15 or 25 years old according to the manufacturing date. I'm gonna clean the carbs as well and check the floats.
Don't worry Terry, I'll get it in good condition for you
