CB650C is up and running

Postby darthsmeagol » Tue Jun 01, 2010 10:02 pm

Here's my bike. 1980 CB650 Custom with only 8500 miles on when i bought her. Bought it from the original owner who kept it in garage for most of the bike's life. She runs pretty good for the most part but needs a little more TLC, which i'm well on the way in providing.

I cleaned out the gas tank, new handle bars, new plugs, air filter, oil filter, new oil, brake fluid, new brake pads front and back, new tires, re-adjusted valves, cam adjusted, rebuilt master cylinder and clean the carbs. The only thing left is to sync the carbs.

Paid $800 and only put $250 for her makeover. Plus I added a tank bag which I got for free and my buddy knows someone who does custom seats and he just re-did mine in leather.

Really great bike for that money. Seems like you have done everything, now have fun riding it!
Looks like the pictures suffered somewhat during resize. A very nice, free tool for picture resize may be found at http://irfanview.com. Look for the resize/resample function in the image menu. Set the aspect ratio as fixed.
May look a bit like that then:

I always liked the looks of the turnout. Even made a set for my 360.
