Todays Ride

Postby chucksklrst » Fri Jul 23, 2010 6:10 pm

Decided I was going to take a ride today as it has been a couple of days since I was out riding.. Walked out to the garage to decide which bike to take and I was a bit dismayed at the bike situation.. The ST is on the lift getting ready for Shim Sunday, so can't take it. The Wee Is stripped down waiting for some electrical farkles to come in the mail, The KLR is over in my off site storage area, The Shadow has expired Texas tags, I have not switched it over to Colorado yet. What is going on. Five motorcycles and 4 of the 5 are not available today. That left the oldest bike available. My 1979 CB650.
I started her and she protested a bit but finally settled in to a nice in-line 4 purr. Mounted up and off we went on a 160 mile loop. Over to Hill Top then down to Franktown and into Castle Rock. Out Lake Gulch road (11) back to 83 and on to Palmer Divide Road. Over to Palmer Lake and then north on 105. Turned in to Perry Park and explored back in there, admiring the High end homes and beautiful rock formations back there. On over to Wolfensberger Rd. Then picked up Crowfoot Vally Rd back to Parker and then on Home. The Old CB just purred the entire trip. I guess she likes the attention. The CB 650 might just get a starting spot in the stable. Had a great little ride.

Sounds great!
I only have the one 1981 CB 650C so it always has my starting spot.
I put at least a 100 miles most every weekend + the 20 mile trip to work most every day I must say it is the second love of my life.
