Another bike you've all seen before. I'm not sure anymore if it's a standard, C, or SC... It's a little of everything! Standard frame and wheels/brakes with an SC engine and custom bars. Who knows!

P.S. - The bike now has a SHINY NEW (old) BLACK TANK! I'll post some pretty new pics when I get her back on the road!

Looks cool. Did you paint some parts of the engine as well?

Nope... The '82 SC engine came powdercoat black. I'm planning on getting some new aftermarket MAC chrome 4-1 exhausts that will replace those super 80s megaphone exhausts eventually, too. The only chrome on my bike will be the front end, the exhaust, the points/alternator covers and the rear shocks/fenders. It's gonna be HOT!

That is, when I get her running again

That sounds cool, I didn't know that some of the stock engine parts came painted. What does the "SC" indicate? Special Custom? What is keeping your bike off the road?

Also, wasn't 82 Honda replaced the CB650 with the Nighthawk?

In USA in 82 you got either the standard same as the 81 and 80 except for the cards head thing. Or the the night hawk sc that replaced the custom. Same motor but black and they starte to change various items. 83 went to the dual cam shaft drive six speed that was totally diff.
I undestand the single cam went on to 84 as the luxury custom (nitehawk) in some markets.
