Good looking setup you have. I have the exact same bike that I'm bobbing out. What size jets did you go with to compensate for the pod filters?

I didn't change 'em. I snipped off the tabs that are on the adjusting screws & the tabs on the bowls. Worked great for me. It wouldn't rev above 4,000
rpm's before. Now I'm good to redline. I haven't synced it yet, but it's good enough.

Welcome here!
Interesting project. Although CV carbs are less susceptible to pods, one should keep an eye on the plugs anyway. Running too lean may cause engine overheating including severe damage.
FYI: That screws are just fine tuning for idle and maybe off load but will not really affect load (riding) behaviour. So I think you probably just solved idle and off load for now.

Re: '82 cb650
i have the same set up what jets size would you guys recommend?
Re: '82 cb650
Note that the stock jetting of CV carbs and PD carbs is very different (120 vs. 92 or so). So verify the carb type for whatever you find in this forum!
Also CV carbs seem much less sensitive to pods than the PD carbs.
In the K&N RC-2362 install thread member old gringo recommends 122 (instead of 120) plus some extra airbox modification for this K&N. From that one may expect that pods might require slightly more, say one may try out 124. But possibly there is some more reliable info in this forum.

Here it is almost done. Just need to make the tag bracket. Took it around the neighborhood, went pretty well. Hopefully on the road within the week.

Really great style with that small circular accessories!
Consider to check your drive chain tension.
