So yeah. Loosened locknut and put a bolt in. A little wiggling and it threaded right in. No idea why the head has threads in the hole. I shall continue to be confused on the matter, but ecstatic that I've got it set now. When I get home tonight we will get the carbs on and hopefully reassembly will be done.

It ran, it sounded beautiful, and it dumped oil(significant). Time to find out where from now. YAY!

That's good news. Let's hope the new oil leak is an easy fix, too.
