Making it my own...

Postby bpsticks » Thu Sep 29, 2011 9:00 pm

This seat pan was my first time working with fiberglass but it turned out pretty good, thanks to youtube vids. When I upholstered the seat I decided to put accenting blue thread through it to give a little more of a custom look.
The new bars are from an old Triumph and the mirrors are from an aftermartket cafe racer shop.
I'm going to build a passenger pad and/or put saddlebags on to cover up the empty fender area and the old cross bracket where the old seat mounted. A friend of mine also suggested bringing the rear fender in more... Advice on which option to do would be appreciated.
I still have a little painting to do on some smaller stuff but waitning for the winter to do all that.
Let me know what you think, I'd love to hear your opinions/suggestions!

Seat looks good!

I'd definitely shorten that rear fender, though. IMO it should be chopped by about half.

Kudos for the seat, it looks nice. FYI: If you shorten the fender you get wet nasty stripe up your back and head if the road gets wet. You also devalue your bike (throw away money). IMHO :)
