Great job!
I probably could still be happy having the bike in start picture condition.

Yeah there's no way I could ride it the way it looked a year ago.

Okay, I've got a rolling chassis again. I've put as much back together as I can without putting the engine back in. I'm mulling over what to do with the engine at this point. I need to take it apart enough to replace the head gasket and o-rings to address an oil leak. I'm mulling over take it all the away apart so I can properly paint the engine.

Depends how you like to do engine cleaning before painting.
If you do sand or glass blasting, I doubt there are many good options beyond completely together and really tight (which implies taping everything with a shaft seal etc.) and completly disassembled (which implies to remove really everything and cover relevant surfaces).

New springs and plastic cover for the centerstand.
I made a mistake when I took the front end apart nearly in one piece. It was never going back together that way so I had to take it apart off the bike...not fun.
The front is pretty much back together minus the headlight glass.

After (rear brake pivot):
Rear swing arm, shocks, and rear tire installed.
This is my stopping point for tonight. In the next few days I'll work on the air box, battery box, rear fender, and tail light assembly.

That powder coated frame looks amazing. I am working on putting back together my cb650 but I seemed to have made the mistake of not taking enough pictures before I started. I am specifically confused on the assembly where the brake rod attaches to the brake spindle. do you have any close ups of this that I could reference?

This is slightly amazing. I haven't checked in on this website in years and when I do, one of my posts near the top.
