I took some video of my 650 custom today to document the problems I'm having with it and figured I'd take the chance to show it off a bit.

Ignoring the mess of oil, it sounds great and with a new paint job it should be looking great as well.

It is a great relief for me that you consider a paint job . Besides that, it looks all right as far as one can see on the video.
Seems you have really severe oil leaks. I suppose the copper washers at several head cover bolts are missing. The scheme below shows at which bolts copper washers are expected (I think they forgot bolt #6). #21 and #22 are the most important ones as I think there is full camshaft oil pressure behind. If this does not solve your problem, maybe the six rubber coins that cover the head bolts access are misplaced, damaged or already compressed to much, I once had to re-insert one with sealant too get it tight again. Or if you can get them cheap, just take new ones.
