Hi all, I'm newly registered on this site, been lurking for a while though. I have 2 650's one is a '79 Z model which I have done a good tidy up/restore on, I have had this one for about 18 months, the other is an '82 nighthawk, which I only recently purchased and is need of some serious love.
The Z when I started
The Z once I was finished
The Nighthawk
New here got 2 650's
Re: New here got 2 650's
Welcome here!
for the Z-Model the exhaust looks quite small. Are these the 4-4 silencers?
Interesting seat. Just upholstered or is there a pocket underneath?
Turn signals look a bit like CB550 style.
How does on get both stands down at once?
The SC obviously needs some work. And a more suitable front wheel. But not bad as a basis.

The exhausts on the Z are just aftermarket slip on mufflers on a 4-2 system, the seat is just upholstered like that, but it looks like the origional upholstery. The indicators are 750 early K model, I didn't like the ugly square ones they put on the 650, and both stands down at once is very simple, first hop off of the bike and place it on the side stand, walk away, come back a couple of hours later and lift it up onto the centre stand without lifting the side stand
Re: New here got 2 650's
I see.
We here in Germany got self-retracting side stands in the mid 80-s as some guys managed to kill themselves in a left turn with the side stand still out. Forgot that, you have still the stock side stand.
