Right,...... I've been busy putting miles on the old 81 650, but with an opportunity to come a little more up to date, I decided to go ahead and purchase a newer machine ........ even though it's more powerful and efficient, it's still functional transportation for daily use. With yours truly at the helm, ...hmmm maybe I shouldn't post images of such closeup, scary stuff........

The old ...........1981 CB 650........17000km this year........

.....and the new...........2006 Suzuki GSF650...........

6000 km in the past 6 weeks..........and counting.......

Yeah, riding a lot is the best excuse to be offline. :D
Just noticed that the fork for the US dual disks seems different, similar to SC?

No, that's normal in those bikes. Our pipes have much thicker walls (original ones) whereas on the new bikes this is all thin wall stainless and it's prone to colour change.
Well, I did go around few speed restrictions, yes, :P but it's not mine, so I don't work on it. On my wife's SecaII I had them pipes polished very nicely.

Aha - and you don't need to worry about lean or not - those things have fuel injection.... and this is called progress... kills the spirit somehow, though...

In fact original CB (and most other Japanese bikes of these times) exhausts are not just thicker but double walled. Single walled pipes are expected to change color at harmless riding conditions.
