Long time listener, first time caller...
Picked this up earlier this year. First ever Honda. I had a 1986 Kawasaki 454ltd before this
that had 60k+ and a cam chain that sounded like hell. SO glad to have it gone.
This apparently started its life as a stock 1981 CB650c. Some guy in NH chopped it up for
his wife but she wanted an HD, go figure. Jetted carbs, flipped clubmans, pod filters, chopped
seat, new turn signals, custom flake paint, and lowered 2". Got it for $2k, but had to put $800 into it after the cam chain guide snapped. took a 3/4 engine rebuild and had to source the head gasket and guides from England
Its starting to leak near the seam of the oil pan. Ill get pics of that soon and hopefully I can find a solution before winter. Im located in VT and it gets chilly.
Thanks for all the info Ive taken from this site over the past year as a ghost

That's a pretty cool looking bike. Almost looks like a Harley. Your oil pan leak should be an easy fix, it's just a rubber seal that goes all the way around the pan. If I remember right you might have to take off your exhaust to get to all the bolts. I think there are ten of them. I got my head gasket and oil seals from www.hondapartsline.com. They are in California and seemed to be priced about as reasonably as I could find. They sell OEM parts.
So...when will your bike be finished? Umm, never. It is an old bike, there's always gonna be something to do!
