Hi Guys,
This is my newly renovated Honda CB 650 Police Special. I have spent a considerable amount of money on this beauty since I purchased it a few months ago. But its all been worth it so far ( although I think my kids will have to hold onto it for a few years after Im gone to a return )
The bike was brought into service in 1981 in Wellington City New Zealand. I was sold out of service in 1985. I was working as a cop in Wellington City between 1981 and until I transferred out in 1983. The bike was a pool machine this means whatever cop turned up for a shift just drew a set of keys off a board and used that bike for the shift.
Of coarse there were many bikes in the stable at the time..the chances are...I rode this bike in the Job over 30 tears ago.
First time I rode the 650 after 30 years it felt like an old girlfriend ( One that I was allowed to have ) I hadnt ridden a bike for at least 25 years and was amazed at how quickly all the skills returned.
Its a work in progress. Shes had an engine overhaul and a new paint job. The wiring has been sorted and the only thing left is locating new headers and four into two pipes ( Almost impossable to find in New Zealand )
All flashing lights and the siren are operational.......
Well thats my story....

Wow! I never knew there was such a thing! Being a cop myself (25 years and counting) this thing fascinates me. The pics seem too small for me to really see .
