Welcome here Berkan, too! :D

Berkan wrote:I have had mine for 17 years and it is original condition at 40.000 km and not restored or repainted. The silencers though are aftermarket as the original had rusted through before I bought it.

So do you think I can risk to allow you to post a slightly larger picture?

Make that six on the road. I taxed my blue 650Z last week - first time on the road for a couple of years. Bought it in the Autumn of last year and tinkered and fettled over the winter.

Are they all so cold blooded? mine takes a while to catch from cold but is fine once it's warm.

Welcome Sonsman.

Where are you based?

I also have a problem starting the bike but once it is running it runs really sweet. Does anyone have any inside information of a specific way to start 650Z's or is it just trial and error

By the way, lets have a photo uploaded

Thanks for the welcome guys. I'm in Exeter, Devon so some distance from you Pan.

I checked out the starting tips and twisting the throttle several times before trying the starter definitely works. I left the bike for a few days and tried this and it burst into full life straight away - result! I'm not brilliant with photos but I will try and get some on here before too long.

Love the bike do you still own it, I've just bought a blue 650z and am starting to restore it, should take about 2 years if not more as it was in a real state as it had been left out in the open for years and hasn't been run for even longer.
This was the real muscle bike when I was in my teens and it brings back lots of memories. Don't suppose you could point me in the direction of where I can get new exhaust cans for the bike or do you know what other ones might fit, the down pipes seem fine just need cleaning but the end cans are shot to bits. Any advice would be welcome.
