If you did it that way, all right. If not, go back there to correct it before you waste your time elsewhere.

Re: Ide troubles with pd50 carbs
Damn; fuel delivery troubles; probsbly from floats not right. I tested all the ignition circuits; changed 1 ignitor box; then i pulled the filter and sprayed in some starter fluid; too off on all 4 cyl.
Re: Ide troubles with pd50 carbs
Pulled the rack off again. I checked the vent hoses for curiosities sake and it blows through clear for 1 and 2; but not so much for 3 and 4. Will put the compressed air to the vents and reset the floats. If one side(3 and 4) had bad venting would it make it act like it wasn't gettting fuel cause it wouldn't breathe properly?

Yes. If the bowl vent is plugged. It will act like a fuel starvation problem. Oddly enough though. If the vent tubes are missing. They will allow the carb bowls to overflow. Acting like a flooding, or needle seat problem.
Make sure the floats are set correctly. The clear tube is the best method to make certain they are right.

Re: Ide troubles with pd50 carbs
The tubes are fine; no rot anywhere. Set the compressor to 40lbs and let them have it; if there was anything in there its gone now; functions clear on both sides, even tho the problem was with 3 and 4. No clear tubing yet; but i did reset them again on all 4; now if it ever quits raining here i wil put them back on the bike.

Mother nature was not nice to me today either. It opened up ,and downpoured just as I was getting ready to put the battery into the bike. Had to leave the bike out in the open to get a good soaking. Then just when I gave up, and covered the bike again. The sun came out in full glory.

Re: Ide troubles with pd50 carbs
No change here in the weather haha; but i'm on a "staycation" for a week; i may yet have the carbs all sorted out. Meaning i took time off but have a list of stuff at home to do. i'll get the clear tubing today.
Re: Ide troubles with pd50 carbs
clear tubing works wonders when setting float height. No more overflowing or starving for fuel. Now to pull the rack again as it takes forever to come back down to idle. If i force the throttle back it will idle at 1500rpm. Linkage seems smooth to the last 1/4 inch. I may have something bent. For now i got a new pull cable for the 750 set that was on this machine when i bought it. Both cables are oiled and no binding when disconnected; i checked before i hooked them up to the rack. Something for a rainy day project; at least the 750 rack has a fully functional choke system.
