1980 CB650 from NC.

Postby arthulia » Sat Mar 01, 2014 7:02 pm

Hey everybody! I'm new to the forum (and motorcycle world). I just bought a 1980 CB650. It's my first bike. I have no plans set in stone for the bike aside for taking care of it. I'm not a big fan of chrome so some of that may be going away in the future. Who knows.

It's quite a fun bike. Hopefully this week I'll put tags on so I can ride it legally on the street. haha!

Here are some (bad) pics.

Thanks! Tires are still in good enough shape for this riding season, but I may end up replacing them anyways.

My point is that tires older than say 7 years (still depending on storage) are typically hard and slippery.
No severe problem on dry roads at warm weather (although you should be careful with the rear brake!) but you are quite lost when wet and cold.
