My latest pics

Postby Kitsune84 » Fri Apr 24, 2009 9:36 pm

well here we go, it's been a long time and lots of work...

Still baby steps back to stock. I have the 4-into-4s and comstars, but because I have new rubber on these, and the comstars are an inch smaller in dia than these in the rear, I have to wait 'til I burn through these tires to be able to justify ANOTHER tire. ;)

Looks good. I like th 17" rear for our on the road anyway. I have a 79 17" comstar on my 80 custom right now.
Did you clean the tank out?!?!?!?!

...what model was that '79 17" comstar from? Now I'm curious.

I really want to go to the comstars because (at least the later ones) they're tubeless, and if I run over a nail or something (don't run over the glass! Don't look at the glass! ...you ran right over the glass. ) I want to be able to scuff, plug, pump and go.

79 USA was considered a Z.

Looks fine. I like the spokes rims.
Although in this forum the Z-model means usually the European version, it seems the early US models also were Z's but just from the name.
European Z-models had silver 18" rear comstars.

And the euro ones had dual disks and a diff tail but there are more of the same on all Z's than with the other model 650's.
